Targeting Waste

One-third of most organization's activities are non-productive, creating a huge, hidden "Cost of Waste". This waste includes internal inefficiencies and missed external opportunities.

The bottom line? Your organization shoud be selling more and producing for less. If you haven't already tried it, take the Performance Challenge test and see how you score.

Identifying Your Needs

On-Site Needs Analysis - a high-value discovery session which identifies, quantifies and prioritizes improvement needs. Typically 2 days are necessary for interviews with senior managers, supervisors and selected employees. The discovery session has 3 important deliverables:
  • management team understanding of the need for, and benefits of improvement
  • initial orientation for key personnel
  • an analysis report listing 50 - 100 quantified problem / opportunity areas NOTE: the dollar value of identified needs usually exceeds net income, creating a significant profit improvement potential

Improvement Process Audit - on-site evaluation of an organization's current quality / performance improvement process activities and results. The audit identifies strengths, weaknesses and recommends specific actions for achieving a higher level of success. Has been valuable in revitalizing existing TQM, ISO and process improvement initiatives. Evaluation points include:
  • Goals & Measures
  • Skills Training
  • Resources
  • Incentives
  • Action Planning
  • Leadership
